Formerly the long-standing editor-in-chief of The Guardian, Alan oversaw the publication of multiple ground-breaking stories including the WikiLeaks revelations from Julian Assange and the scale of secret American surveillance leaked by Edward Snowden, which won a Pulitzer Prize in 2014.
