Veteran Labor senator John Faulkner speaks in the Senate about Bob Carr's memoir of his time as foreign minister. Faulkner wants it on the record that he doesn't want anyone to think he was so pompous and self-important as to tell Carr not to use his quote that Labor caucus was 'like a mausoleum' because he wanted to use it in his own book. Faulkner says he has no intention of boring people senseless by writing a book.
