The series is sponsored by The Woodland Trust and features new stories from Ali Smith, Alan Garner, Evie Wyld and Alec Finlay
  • Llennyrch Celtic Rainforest<br>Among the hills of Snowdonia at the bottom of a gorge lies a strip of rare ancient woodland. Llennyrch, a Celtic rainforest is a 100 acre rainforest surrounded by 400 acres of Welsh farmland. Parts of the sheer gorge are untouched by human hand, but indications show this ancient oak woodland, which has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, dates back to the last ice age 10,000 years ago. Here moss covers the floor of the forest.
