Music documentaries of various guises are set to dominate the 14th Raindance film festival in London, which opens on September 27 with a screening of the acclaimed Brothers of the Head. Directed by Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe, the film is a faux-documentary that follows the attempts of a 1970s promoter to conjure conjoined twins into a rock'n'roll sensation. Brothers of the Head won the Michael Powell award for best new British feature at last month's Edinburgh film festival.

The 60th Edinburgh film festival will kick off with the world premiere of a homegrown Scottish biopic about a cyclist who broke the world one-hour record on a bike made from parts from a washing machine.
