Homegrown film rides high at Sundance
After a fierce bidding war at the Sundance International Film Festival, American rights to the British comedy Saving Grace have been secured by Fine Line for a hefty $4m - a record at this year's event. "We are happy to come out on top of this war," said Fine Line president Peter Ordesky. "We think it's a great film."

I've heard it said of Darren Aronofsky's debut feature pi - pi, that is, as in pi r squared - that it will make mathematics sexy. I think not. Mess around with the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, the film suggests, and you'll end up shaving your head, getting a bad case of the sweats, and hallu-cinating to frenzied techno beats.
