Each week a Guardian reader selects their five favourite clips to illustrate a chosen topic, then next week comes back into the blog to select their top choices from those suggested by other readers. Clip joint began in 2006 and appears every Wednesday; since 2010 a shortened version has also appeared in the Friday Film & Music print section
