    Helen Thomas, the US reporter who has achieved iconic status for her opposition to the war in Iraq, told the National Conference for Media Reform said "the press corps lost its way," in the run-up to the war. She said: "We gave up our one weapon, which was scepticism." She claimed that better news coverage, having undergone "a sea change in the right direction"...
