Summer season

A weekly interactive guide to the biggest and best events of the British summer.
Each week the Guardian's team of photographers and picture editors will bring you interactive coverage of the season's highlights, from arts events to music festivals to sporting gatherings. The festivities on this year's social calendar kick off with the Chelsea flower show in May and end with Cowes week in August.
  • Spctators enjoy a view of Henley Royal Regatta from the water in Henley-on-Thames, England. The rowing event was established in 1839 and is held annually on the River Thames, lasting 5 days over the first weekend in July. Races are held approximately every 5 minutes.
