  • In 2013, Bryan Chan and a group of fellow students at university in Arizona launched a weather balloon near the Grand Canyon. In a Reddit post, Chan explained that their on-board GPS tracker lost signal as it came in to land. It took two years for the team to recover their footage, after a woman spotted the balloon and its payload while out on a hike in the desert.
