Three reasons Republicans should support the Dream Act

  • 335 Migrants coming from Central America traverse México as part of the refugee caravan Viacrucis Guadalupano. Women and children joined the men in Mexico City on “la Bestia,” the beast on Oct. 20. This is the freight train that migrants take in order to travel through México without having to pay. By traveling through la bestia, they are exposed to kidnappings, rape or even death. Some say they are willing to take the risk because staying in their country undoubtedly means death.
Traveling in large numbers offers major protection against these odds and that is the reason for which refugee caravans are organized. Within the caravan, a group of men is in charge of keeping a lookout during the night.
Some migrants will start a living in México, while a few others will seek asylum in the U.S.
