In a 70-year-high, 70.8 million people across the world have been displaced from their homes fleeing war, persecution and conflict, the United Nations said. Half of these forcibly displaced people are children, the U.N. refugee agency said in its annual flagship report, Global Trends.
However, U.N. termed the global figure 'conservative', as it does not include most of the 4 million Venezuelans who have fled abroad since 2015 as they do not need visas or to lodge asylum claims to stay in most host countries.

At least 91,600 people have been killed in the Yemen civil war so far, The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), a database tracking violence, said. ACLED said 11,900 people were killed this year, compared to 30,800 in 2018.
The group said the Saudi-led coalition and its allies were responsible for more than 8,000 of about 11,700 deaths resulting from the direct targeting of civilians, while the Houthis and their allies were responsible for the rest.

The auction of the 7mm Lefaucheux revolver, billed as “the most famous weapon in the history of art”, has reignited the debate over who pulled the trigger on 27 July 1890.
The badly corroded pistol was found in a field near Auvers-sur-Oise, a village north of Paris, where the shooting is said to have happened.

India is estimated to generate over 2 million outbound luxury and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) tourists annually by 2020 according to figures published ahead of the 7th Annual MICE India and Luxury Travel Congress (MILT). The tourism market is expected to reach $9 billion by 2025, the report said.
