Pacing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election campaign in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday Union Home Amit Shah asserted that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) will be taken back, even as he targeted the Congress for not able to give strong government to the country over the years.

Mr. Shah, was speaking at Amb in Himachal Pradesh, seeking votes for party candidate Anurag Thakur ahed of the Lok Sabha election.

“From this holy land of Mata Chintpurni, I affirm that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is ours, and we will take it. Rahul Baba and his party are trying to scare us with Pakistan’s atom bomb. We are not afraid of the atom bomb. The Opposition parties used to warn that removing Article 370 from Kashmir would lead to rivers of blood, but today no one can even throw a stone thanks to the BJP. Our government has eradicated terrorism from the entire country. During the Congress governments, terrorists used to come to India and carry out bomb blasts. But under Modiji, terrorist incidents have ceased because we carry out surgical strikes and kill our enemies by entering their homes,” he said.

He urged the public to support Mr. Thakur, saying Prime Minister Modi has provided the people of Hamirpur Lok Sabha with a ready-made Minister.

“The BJP has won 310 seats in the five phases so far. In the next two phases, all of you together must help us cross 400 seats. While our seats are crossing 400, the Congress party is going to be reduced to below 40. Make the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates victorious in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly byelections,” he added.
