We had previously reported that actor Shahid Kapoor’s next is an action thriller directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrews and co-starring Pooja Hegde. Today, the actor announced with a first-look image that the film has been titled Deva.
Further, Shahid announced that the film will release in theatres in October 2024 during Dussehra.
According to the makers, Deva tells the story of a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.
Deva is backed by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
Director Rosshan is known for his Malayalam blockbusters like Saluteand Kayamkulam Kochunni. His last directorial was the Nivin Pauly starter Saturday Night.
Shahid, last seen Bloody Daddy, has an untitled romance drama co-starring Kriti Sanon coming up. Pooja Hegde is known for starring in titles like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Beast,Radhe Shyam and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,
