Telugu Desam MLA P. Keshav has requested the Union Ministers from Seemandhra region to stall the bifurcation Bill in the Parliament, disrupting proceedings if need be, failing which they would be branded as “traitors”.
Mr. Keshav, a vocal supporter of united A.P., wanted Minister K. Sambasiva Rao to take the initiative in evolving strategies, within the purview of the law, to stall the Bill in Lok Sabha while another Minister, K. Chiranjeevi, should stall the passage of the Bill in Rajya Sabha.
The Seemandhra MLAs, MLCs and MPs proved their commitment by raising voice against bifurcation in the Assembly and Parliament and it was now the turn of Union Ministers to display their political acumen in stalling the Bill.
“They will remain as traitors if they do not muster courage to stall the bifurcation process,” he said.
Meanwhile, TDP MLA G. Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was acting hand in glove with the party high command in “systematically” taking forward the bifurcation process. This was evident from the way the Chief Minister convinced the agitating NGOs to call off their strike with “false assurances”.
Contrary to his claims on resigning from the post, Mr. Kiran Reddy was continuing as Chief Minister as he was fulfilling the agenda set by the Congress.
“He (Kiran Reddy) ought to have resigned when the Centre asked him the roadmap for the State bifurcation if he is committed to united A.P. cause. Whom is he trying to fool by setting new deadlines every passing day?” he asked.
