IAS officers reshuffle in TN: Dheeraj Kumar replaces Amudha as Home Secretary, Kumaragurubaran named Chennai Corporation Commissioner

New Collectors named for 10 districts

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 named Dheeraj Kumar its Home Secretary, replacing incumbent P. Amudha. She has been posted as the Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department. It also replaced J. Radhakrishnan with J. Kumaragurubaran as Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation.

Mr. Radhakrishnan has been posted as the Secretary of Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, replacing K. Gopal. Orders issued by Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena posted S. Madumathi as the Secretary of the School Education Department. Mr. Gopal was posted as the Secretary of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries-Fishermen Welfare Department.

Kumar Jayant was posted as Secretary of Information Technology and Digital Services Department, while Har Sahay Meena was posted as the Secretary of the Special Initiatives Department. K. Veera Raghava Rao was posted as Secretary of the Labour Welfare and Skill Development.

New Collectors

The State government posted new Collectors in 10 districts. They are: J.U. Chandrakala was posted as Ranipet Collector and M. Aruna was posted as Pudukkottai Collector. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru was posted as Collector of the Nilgiris. B. Priyanka was posted as Thanjavur Collector. P. Akash was posted as Nagapattinam Collector and P. Rathinasamy was posted as Ariyalur Collector. Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar was posted as Cuddalore Collector. R. Alagumeena was posted as Kanniyakumari Collector.

Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau was posted as Perambalur Collector and Simranjeet Singh Kahlon was posted as Ramanathapuram Collector. Narnaware Manish Shankarrao is set to assume office as Commissioner of Erode Corporation. J. Vijaya Rani is set to take over as Joint Commissioner (Education) of Greater Chennai Corporation. S. Balachander would assume office as Commissioner of Tambaram Corporation.

V. Rajaraman was posted as Secretary of Tamil Development and Information Department and S. Suresh Kumar was posted as Secretary of the Backward Classes, MBC & Minorities Welfare Department. C.A. Rishab was posted as Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department and B. Vishnu Chandran was posted as Deputy Secretary in the Public Department. S. Valarmathi was posted as the Joint Secretary in Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department.

J. Anne Mary Swarna was posted as Joint Secretary in Home, Prohibition and Excise Department, while Sravan Kumar Jatavath who was Kallakurichi Collector until recently, was posted as Joint Secretary in Housing and Urban Development Department.

Meanwhile, Ashish Kumar was posted as Additional Resident Commissioner, Tamil Nadu House, New Delhi. Shunchonngam Jatak Chiru, was posted as Transport Commissioner, replacing A. Shanmuga Sundram. He has been posted as Director of Handlooms.

R. Gajalakshmi was posted as Director, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation Limited. S.P. Karthikaa was posted as Director of Prohibition and Excise, replacing J. Jayakanthan. He was posted as Commissioner of Textiles.

D. Mohan was posted as Director of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection. Thakare Shubham Dnyandeorao was posted as Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in Erode.

R. Seethalakshmi was posted as Project Director/Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society and S. Amirtha Jothi was posted as Director, Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute. Mageshwari Ravikumar was posted as Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.

T. Abraham was posted as Commissioner of Technical Education and I.S. Mercy Ramya was posted as Director of Integrated Child Development Schemes.

P.N. Sridhar was posted as Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.

K.V. Muralidharan was posted as Director of Social Security Scheme and R. Ananda Kumar was posted as Commissioner of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj (Training). A. Arun Thambu Raj was posted as Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health System Project and M. Govinda Rao was posted as Director of e-Governance and Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency.

Sharanya Ari was posted as Additional Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Johny Tom Varghese was posted as Director of Children Welfare and Special Services. B. Gayathri Krishnan was posted as Additional Registrar of Co-operative Societies and A. Sankar was posted as Director of Land Reforms;

He shall also function as the Director of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax.

Siva Soundaravalli was posted as Additional Commissioner of Industries and Commerce and V. Mohanachandran was posted as Director of Disaster Management. R. Sukumar was posted as Additional Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments. K. Porkodi was posted as Joint Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltd., Chennai.

A.Karthik, is set to assume office as Chairman & Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation and P. Shankar would take over as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation.

B. Maheswari would assume office as Chief Executive officer of Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board and S.A. Raman would take over as Project Director of Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II. Ajay Yadav is set to take over as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Cement Corporation Limited.

R. Kannan would take over as Managing Director of the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited and V. Deepanavisveswari would take over as Executive Director of the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited. M. Vallalar is set to assume office as Vice Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Tamil Nadu Maritime Board.

Deepak Jacob is set to take over as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Co-operative Society (Co-optex) and Karpagam would assume office as Chief Executive Officer of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.
