Ravi Reddy

Ravi Reddy is the Resident Editor – Telangana. A post-graduate in Journalism and Mass Communication from prestigious Osmania University, he has been with The Hindu since 1996 and writes on politics, rural development, non-Governmental organisations, including long form and analysis. He started his career as a journalist with Newstime in 1993 in Hyderabad, joined The Hindu in 1996 as its Staff Reporter in Nizamabad, then a hotbed of Left Wing Extremism (LWE). Extensively covered the banned People’s War Group activities, interviewed their top leaders and encounters besides naxal-killings of civilians. Shifting to Hyderabad in 2004, he has been covering politics for The Hindu and heads Hyderabad Editorial Team as its Resident Editor.
