From apartment complexes adopting green living techniques to farmers practicing chemical-free agriculture, the city of Hyderabad in Telangana State has been working towards a greener Earth. The Hindu's MetroPlus team in the city has been on the pursuit of the stories of pioneers who prioritise the environment in whatever way they can and have brought about a change in their localities.

We visited a model colony, spoke to scientists dabbling with research in solar technology and chefs who promote sustainability. Here are a collection of such inspiring stories.
