Grandma swims historic 29.7 miles from shark-infested SF waters
California grandmother Amy Gubser, who started marathon swimming 10 years ago as an escape from hectic shifts as a pediatric nurse, put her name in the record books after completing a 29.7-mile swim through frigid, shark-infested waters from the Golden Gate Bridge in the San Francisco Bay to the remote Farallon Islands. NBC’s Morgan Chesky shares her journey on TODAY.
