The best Bear mattress deals this month

Bear Original mattress: $748$487 + free bedding at Bear

Bear Original mattress: was $748 now from $487 + free bedding at Bear
The Original is the cheapest of the Bear lineup, with a pared-back, all-foam design. In our Bear Original mattress review, we praised the motion isolation and value for money. At 7/10 on the firmness scale, it's a good choice for anyone who likes a bit more support from their mattress, including stomach or back sleepers who want to ensure their spine stays correctly aligned. We found this bed sleeps a little warm, so check out one of the other options if you're already prone to overheating at night. Head to Bear for 35% off, plus free bedding bundle. A queen is $649 with this offer.

Bear Elite Hybrid mattress: $1,721$1,231 + free accessories at Bear

Bear Elite Hybrid mattress: was $1,721 now from $1,231 + free accessories at Bear
The 14" tall Elite sits at the top of Bear's range. The hybrid design includes copper-infused memory foam and coils, as well as a cooling cover. It's the only model where you can choose your firmness preference (soft, medium or firm), which means it can be customized to suit any sleep style. In our Bear Elite Hybrid mattress hands-on review, we found the combination of padded top tier and slightly firmer layer underneath made this mattress comfortable in any position. The current deal knocks 35% off, which takes the price of a queen size down to $1,373. You'll get some free Cirrus Cloud Pillows thrown in too!

Star Hybrid mattress: $1,893$844 + free pillows at Bear

Star Hybrid mattress: was $1,893 now from $844 + free pillows at Bear
The 13" Star is the most popular Bear mattress. This medium-firm hybrid has a cooling cover, copper-infused memory foam and encased coils (compared to the high-end Elite, you're losing the zoned support layer). Bear recommends it to those who sleep hot, or are looking specifically for pressure relief. The current offer knocks 35% off the ticket price, which means a queen size is $1,499.

Bear Pro Hybrid mattress: $1,135 $738 + pillows at Bear

Bear Pro Hybrid mattress: was $1,135 now from $738 + pillows at Bear
The second-cheapest, second-firmest model in the lineup is the Bear Pro Hybrid. This 10" tall model promises durable support and contouring. The encased coils promote airflow through the mattress, but overall the cooling tech isn't as good as you'll find in the pricier Star and Elite models. In the current deal, 35% off means a queen is $844, with a big bundle of bedding thrown in for free. Your purchase includes a 120-night sleep trial, lifetime warranty, and free shipping.

Which Bear mattress should you buy?

There are currently four Bear mattresses to choose from:

The Bear Original mattress is the brand's entry-level option. It retails for between $699 and $1,690, although you'll seldom ever pay full price thanks to regular sales. features three layers of memory foam and suits any sleep position. A hybrid version of the Bear Original exists, which adds a layer of 6-inch, individually-wrapped coils.

For extra edge support and a more traditional spring feel, the Bear Pro Hybrid mattress offers a more "luxury hotel mattress feel". While it costs far more than Bear's full-foam options, it's roughly what you'd expect to pay for an upper-mid-range hybrid mattress. (A queen retails for $1,460 before discounts.)

The Bear Elite Hybrid mattress is the brand's premium option, offering three varying levels of firmness, a cool-to-the-touch phase-change top cover and 5-zoned ergonomic support. Prices start at $1,893 for a twin before any coupons.

The latest addition to the lineup is the 13" Bear Star Hybrid mattress. This premium pillow top mattress combines gel foam and individually-encased coils to provide pressure-relieving support. This mattress comes in a bit cheaper than the Elite, starting at $1,498.

If you're unsure of which Bear mattress to buy, you can take the brand's sleep quiz to find out which model will best suit your needs and budget.

Bear Original Mattress

The cheapest Bear mattress you can buy

Sizes: 7 (twin to split king) | Firmness (1-10): 7 (medium-firm) | Depth: 10 inches | Turn: No | Material: Foam and memory foam | Trial: 120 nights | Warranty: Lifetime | RRP: $748 - $1,622

An affordable foam mattress
Suits all types of sleepers
Great motion isolation
Not particularly cooling
Some may find it too firm

The Bear Original is a 10-inch, 3-layer foam mattress. It includes a base layer of supportive foam to prevent sagging and create a medium-firm finish, a layer of Bear Dynamic Foam to alleviate pressure and provide support, and a top layer of cooling gel-infused memory foam to help draw away heat.

In our Bear Original mattress review, we found it comfortable to sleep on regardless of whether we rested on our back, front or side. (But lighter individuals may need time to break it in as it's on the firmer side.) Despite the gel-infused foam layer and a breathable quilt cover, it's not particularly cooling. However, the Bear Original is aces when it comes to edge support and motion isolation.

This mattress comes in six sizes, from twin to Cal king, as well as a split king option. Like most mattresses, the Bear Original has not been immune to inflation-induced cost increases, but it's still rather affordable – especially considering its frequent sales. Right now, a queen is marked down to $699 (regularly $998.)

Bear Pro Hybrid Mattress

A great cooling mattress with copper-infused foam

Sizes: 7 (twin to split king) | Firmness (1-10): 6.5 (medium-firm) | Depth: 12 inches | Turn: No | Material: Foam and memory foam | Trial: N/A | Warranty: 5 years | RRP: $1,135 - $2,396

Great for hot sleepers
Designed for muscle relief
Contains copper (anti-microbial)
Limited edge support
May be phased out soon

This 10" tall model features encased coils to promote airflow through the mattress, but doesn't quite match up to the comfort and support provided by the Elite. Hot sleepers may want to consider this mattress, as they'll enjoy increased airflow through the individually wrapped coil springs and cooling gel.

It also boasts a breathable quilt cover made of long-lasting, breathable materials. For added comfort, you can add a Celliant pillow top cover with Sleep Recovery Technology to regulate body temperature.

Available in Twin to Split King, the MSRP for this mattress runs from $1,135 to $2,396. Thankfully, regular 35% off sales bring this mattress down to under $1,000 for a queen size - pick one up for $949 (was $1,460).
