Twenty years after earning an Oscar nomination, Alec Baldwin has achieved another first: headlining a reality show. On Tuesday, he and wife Hilaria announced that they and their seven children will star in a TLC series slated for release in 2025.

The couple, who welcomed seven kids in just nine years, declared that while they’re “done having kids,” the existing brood—Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, Lucia, 3, and Ilaria, 19 months—will lead The Baldwins next year. Set to a soundtrack of screaming kids, the actor explained in the teaser that he is inviting cameras “into our home to experience the ups and downs; the good, the bad; the wild and the crazy,” adding, “Home is the place we love to be most.”
Baldwin is also a grandfather after his 28-year-old daughter Ireland—whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger—gave birth to a daughter last year. Last month, he spoke about becoming a father again later in life. “I found that as I got older, work became less interesting to me,” he said on the Our Way With Paul Anka and Skip Bronson podcast (via E! News). “I want to work, and I like to work. But they just don’t make that many films anymore that I think are interesting. Then all of a sudden I met my wife, who I love dearly. And every time the [youngest] baby would get to be two years old, we go, ‘Maybe it’s time for one more baby.’”
News of the Baldwins’ reality show comes amid his protracted legal battle stemming from the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of their film Rust. Baldwin awaits a July trial after being indicted by a New Mexico grand jury and re-charged with involuntary manslaughter in the case this past January. Initial criminal charges brought against Baldwin were dropped in April 2023; he maintains his innocence in trusting the crew to maintain a safe environment. (Baldwin and producers of Rust reached a settlement with the Hutchins family in October 2022.) In April of this year, prop armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who loaded a live round of ammunition into Baldwin’s gun, was sentenced to 18 months in prison. According to New Mexico law, Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if convicted.
