For Honor is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with 60fps support
Like Rainbow Six Siege before it, For Honor will not leave its community on current-gen consoles behind.
Ubisoft has finally revealed what's going to happen with For Honor when PS5 and Xbox Series X/S launch in November.
The visual quality available today on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at their respective launches. This includes 4K resolution (1080p on Series S), improved level of detail, texture filtering, shadow resolution and improved water reflections.
All of that will be available at 30fps, but the good news is that starting with the game's Year 4 Season 4 update, due in early December, For Honor will be updated to support 60fps across PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Beyond that, all your existing saves, inventory, ranks, purchases and virtual currency balance will carry over to your next-gen console of choice, within the same family - so PS4 to PS5 and Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S.
This is a similar plan to the one adopted by the Rainbow Six Siege team, although that game's next-gen upgrade will support up to 120fps. Like For Honor, Siege's upgrade also doesn't have a solid release date.
