Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, this Artek chair is characterised by its contrasts. It is solid yet flexible, featuring stiff tubes and pliable rope.
At the heart of the Rope Chair's design is the marine-grade rope that bears your weight. It allows the chair to adapt to your individual form, providing unexpected comfort and encouraging creativity in both position and posture.
As you rise you leave an imprint of yourself and your interaction with the shape of the chair. This understated yet poetic touch is why many of the Bouroullecs' designs are so captivating.
