A pioneer of Danish Modern, Hans Wegner believed that a chair should look good from all sides, and the CH07 Shell Chair is a perfect example.

At the time of the chair's design in 1963, the public was reluctant to accept its avant-garde appearance with its sculpturally curved seat and back. But when it was reintroduced by Carl Hansen over thirty years later, it immediately won broad appeal that continues to this day.

The Shell Chair is crafted from form-pressed hardwood laminates with a three-legged construction that provides excellent stability thanks to Wegner's uncompromising approach to craftsmanship. Available in a choice of oak, beech or walnut, the CH07 Shell chair is also available in a variety of fabric and leather.
