Brooklyn bound: Diptyque opens up at The Invisible Dog, Boerum Hill
The whimsical world of the French perfume label Diptyque has descended upon Brooklyn in the form of a pop-up in the borough's Boerum Hill neighbourhood. Located within The Invisible Dog, a multidisciplinary art community hub, the boutique delivers a proper dose of Diptyque charm with an environment embodying its creativity and playful elegance.
Open since Friday, the temporary boutique showcases Diptyque’s full assortment of home fragrance, body care and perfume collections. It also exclusively peddles the label’s latest offering, ‘Les Voyages’ – a collection of Diptyque cult favourites in travel-friendly sizes. From miniatures of its 'Protective Moisturising Lotion', which comes armed with a SPF 15 rating, and 'Nourishing Cleansing Balm', to portable versions of the 'Figuier' candle, 'Philosykos' perfume and 'L’Ombre Dans L’Eau' soap, taking a voyage without your Diptyque staples will be a thing of the past. Of course, the packaging of the ‘Les Voyages’ collection doesn’t disappoint, and features sun-drenched photographs of oceanfronts, fields of flowers and jungle cliffsides to complete the picture.
The Brooklyn shop will stay open within The Invisible Dog’s converted factory building until the end of the year. Decked out with vintage ephemera, an ample amount of potted greenery and even a stuffed peacock, the inviting space will hold exclusive products and seasonal launches alongside its old faithfuls, to keep New Yorkers from every borough trekking up the Hill.
INFORMATION
Thursday–Saturday, 1pm–7pm, Sunday, 12pm–6pm; Tuesdays and Wednesdays, by appointment only. For more details, please visit Diptyque’s website
