Lounge Bohemia — Prague, Czech Republic
It’s been a busy few years for mixologist Pavel Tvaroh. After eight years in London spent running his experimental bar Lounge Bohemia in the city’s East End and working for esteemed brands such as the Selfridges department store and jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels, self-taught Tvaroh has now returned to his home turf of Prague to launch the second outpost of his popular watering hole.
Located in a secret address, Lounge Bohemia is only accessible via appointment, but once inside, visitors are treated to a performative cocktail experience, where Tvaroh doubles as an alchemist and a magician, producing thoroughly original tipples such as Forest, which delivered in a glass cone, will bring to mind the taste and smell of wood.
Like his London edition, the interiors are a result of Tvaroh’s enthusiastic collection of modernist design knick knacks such as the colourul EM77 vacuum jug by designer Erik Magnussen for Stelton, which sits on each table in laid-back space decked out to resemble your favourite aunt’s living room.
