Beebe’s — New York, USA
In the three years since it first opened, the Boro Hotel in Queens’ Long Island City neighbourhood has watched its surroundings transform. Now a hotbed of restaurants, it’s only apt that the hotel has a piece of the culinary pie to call its own.
To this end, it has launched Beebe’s – an all-day restaurant and bar devoted to thin crust crispy pizzas, a true New York original. Located on the building’s industrial ground floor, Beebe’s exudes a stylish contemporary feel with geometric wood wall panels, mid-century inspired furniture, custom-made banquettes with black leather details and floor-to-ceiling windows to boot. Designed by Eric Mailaender of Resistance Design, the space is flanked by a red circular pizza oven and a cement brick bar surrounded by backgammon encaustic concrete tiles.
The menu is rounded out by New American and Italian fare from chefs Lou Tomczak and George Mandakas and complemented by a beverage program that includes both Negronis and local Long Island City beers on tap.
