Well, this is it. After 30 years on the magazine, I'm off, writes Caroline Osborn.
I've really enjoyed meeting and working with everyone in the consumer electronic industry, and talking to so many What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision readers on the phone and at various shows, from Harrogate (ah, those were the days!) to recent ones in London and Bristol.
So what am I going to do now? (Have to answer that one, as everyone keeps asking!) Well, I'm going to take it easy, have more time to enjoy my hi-fi and home cinema systems - it'll be nice to have the time to watch a movie all the way through! - and travel the world.
But I'm going to miss all the people I've worked with, including editors such as Chris Gidney, Steve Harris, Matt Nicholson, Mark Payton, Jez Ford, Naz, Andy Clough and Steve Fowler - I've seen them all off! - and all my other friends in the industry.
Most of all, thanks to all of the current WHFSV team under Clare Newsome who've made working on the magazine such fun - it's just you and Emma and all those boys now, Clare...
