Available in UK stores from mid-November, the twin-tuner Foxsat-HDR will be able to pause, rewind and record Freesat high-definition digital TV, as well as access an expanding choice of standard-definition TV, radio and interactive channels.
The 320GB hard drive can store up to 80 hours of HD programming, or up to 200 hours of SD material.
An eight-day electronic programme guide makes it easy to check out the Freesat TV schedule, and two Freesat channels can be recorded simultaneously.
Other advanced features of the unit include series recording, radio recording, schedule tracking (so recordings start and finish on time) and split recordings (to record two-part programmes that may have a break in the middle for the news, such as films).

The Humax Foxsat-HDR will also have HDMI connectivity, low power consumption, parental controls, two Scart sockets and audio description services for the blind or visually impaired.
"The launch of Freesat+ with the Foxsat-HDR is an exciting milestone for us," says Emma Scott, managing director of Freesat. "We're giving viewers the fredom to enjoy all their favourite SD shows, as well as the likes of Strictly Come Dancing, UEFA Champions League, England home games and blockbuster movies in HD whenever and however they want – for no subscription and no extra monthly bills."
Freesat broadcasts the BC HD and ITV HD channels, as well as numerous SD channels, which can be received via satellite. For further details read our previous news story.
