The two new models draw on the company's experience with 'near field' studio monitors, and have both an integrated iPod and a USB socket for streaming music from a computer. In addition there are 3.5mm input and headphone sockets on the front panel, along with the volume control, and stereo RCA phono input sockets are provided to the rear.
The two models are the £109 3i, which has 30W of amplification and 8.25cm copolymer-cone mid/bass drivers, along with a 25mm silk dome tweeter, while the larger 4i, at £149, ups the power to 40W and the mid/bass driver to 10.8cm.
Both models are magnetically shielded.
