It's capable of Full HD, 1080p video playback, comes with five satellite speakers and a subwoofer, built-in amplification of 1000W and can decode high-definition audio.
As well as conventional Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks, the system will decode Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD (High Resolution Audio) and DTS-HD (Master Audio).
The slimline system is Profile 2.0 enabled, so users can connect it to the web and download BD Live content from Blu-ray discs.
iPod owners can use and charge their portable players through the system, and the sound has been tuned by hi-fi guru Mr Mark Levinson. LG's Sound Gallery offers seven sound modes for you to play with, including settings for News, Drama and Sports, plus a Night listening option.
There's one-click access to YouTube, two HDMI inputs, 1080p upscaling of standard DVDs, USB playback and optical and coaxial digital inputs.
