Available from tomorrow, December 14, this is the new BLIK RadioStation from Scottish company Revo – the first radio to combine DAB, the new DAB+, and wi-fi capability for the reception of internet radio stations.
The compact unit, which sells for £150, joins a BLIK range already including DAB and wi-fi units, but is the first to combine all the functions in one box, and also give 'plug and play' DAB/DAB+ without any need for software upgrades.
It's all made possible by the use of a new multistandard module from Frontier Silicon, the Venice 6, which also provides FM reception with RDS. In addition, the new BLIK RadioStation has full alarm/sleep timer functions, and comes complete with a remote control and a connecting cable to allow it to function as a speaker system for MP3 players.
As well as enabling users to access some 9000 internet-streamed radio stations, the RadioStation can stream music from PCs and Macs via a wireless network, and also has stereo analogue output connections and a headphone socket.
It's available in black or white from Revo stockists or, from December 19, direct from Revo online – as are the two other BLIK units, the £50 DAB/FM BLIK DAB and the £100 BLIK Wi-Fi.
