NEWS: Roth Audio releases its first speaker range – meet the new OLi family

Roth Audio is perhaps better known for its vacuum tube amplifiers, but now it's turned its hand to speaker design with the introduction of the OLi speaker range.

The OLi speakers were developed in tandem with an North American engineering team, and are designed to work with Roth's Music Cocoon vacuum tube amplifiers, although they can be used with other makers' amps as well.

There are three models in the range: the entry-level, £100 OLi 1; the £149 OLi2 standmount; and the £249 OLi3 floorstander.

OLi1 is a two-way design which is just 20cm high and can handle up to 100 watts of power. OLi2 has a slightly larger cabinet and mid/bass driver, while OLi3 is almost 1m high, houses twin drivers and handles up to 150w. All three have black lacquer highlights on the top and bottom of the cabinet.

The Roth Audio OLi speaker range will be available in the UK from December.
