Report concerning User:Tm

[edit]

Tm (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • SUL (for IP: GUC))Reasons: user is vandalizing this page by repeatedly adding [1][2] a nonexistent X profile and an irrelevant porn link. Their talk page history shows that they've been warned multiple times about edit warring, adding unsupported data, and disruptive editing. Lapadite (talk) 01:08, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And the above account has the bad habit of removing historical social media accounts that should be marked as obsolete instead of being removed, as i have done, removed several sourced statements, like political party, in particular removing them again 4 minutes, after i pointed several other sources in my talkpage like the source or others like ‘Parks and Recreation’ Cast Reunites for Wisconsin Democratic Party Fundraiser or Celebrities who support Joe Biden for president
For whatever reason, this same user keeps removing sourced statements, when it even has the text quoted, like "Plaza started out in entertainment as a “Saturday Night Live” set design intern and an NBC page." as not once, but twice.
His full actions of massive removal of sourced statements. Tm (talk) 01:19, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But his actions of removing sourced statements extends to more items like Charlie Puth (Q19810390) or Amy Lee (Q172632) Tm (talk) 01:28, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That isn't sourced content, and I know because I've been an active contributor to the WP article of the latter page you linked. But do try your hardest to attempt to distract from your disruptive bordering on vandal edits and your history of edit warring (for which you were warned by an admin). Lapadite (talk) 01:35, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Curious decision to not link to that discussion in full in Wikidata:Administrators'_noticeboard/Archive/2021/11#Tm where on can see what was really happening for several months prior with the continuos actions of one user, despite several previous enlarged discussions, but good try. Tm (talk) 07:49, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As the user has been told at least once before, a celebrity endorsing a presidential candidate does not translate to us determining that the celebrity is a member of the political party of that candidate. Wikipedia has a strict policy on BLPs (biographies of living persons), and not including original research or synthesizing content from sources ("Do not combine material from multiple sources to state or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources"). The actress does not state in the link that was present that she is a member of any party. Endorsing a political candidate does not automatically make someone a member of the candidate's party. Moreover, given TM's sidestepping here, I'd like to stress that this report isn't a content dispute, it is about the user repeatedly and knowingly re-adding a porn entry and a non-existent X profile. Lapadite (talk) 01:36, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First thing, this is Wikidata, not the english Wikipedia, so what policies it might have, as no standing in here
Again, one does not remove an deactivated twitter profile or any other social media accounts that should be marked as obsolete instead of being removed. And that is exactly what i did and did not not removed it like you did.
And she was a history of endorsing different democratic party candidates in different USA like democratic party candidate Beto O'Rourke in the 2018 United States Senate election in Texas against the republican Ted Cruz or a Matt Meyer, democratic party candidate to the New Castle County Executive, Delaware. Tm (talk) 08:21, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What Wikidata is not - "Wikidata is not a place to put original research". Lapadite (talk) 09:06, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For the attention of any admins that read this: I'd removed the irrelevant porn link that Tm re-added to the page several times. I haven't removed it again, despite it being vandalism and a violation of WP's Biography of Living Persons policy and WD's Living People policy, because of Tm's edit warring, which I don't want to contribute to. I am awaiting admins' input on this vandalism, which would be immediately be removed on Wikipedia and the user who repeatedly reinstated it would be blocked. Lapadite (talk) 08:57, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You conveniently "forget" to mention that
This person has a history of several endorsements of the USA Democratic Party, in federal and several states or participated in the 2020 Democratic National Committee's after-party.
The Wikidata:What Wikidata is not you linked clearly states that :"[Wikidata is not] Wikipedia, or an encyclopedia", yet that doesnt stop you from quoting policies from the english Wikipedia that have no bear in Wikidata
You conveniently "forget" to mention that because you removed i reverted all your removals of sourced statements because it is impossible not do it item by item, given how extensive your removals are, so nice try to smudge my actions and try to pass them as vandalism Tm (talk) 09:49, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I addressed the issues with rest of your edits, such as the original research policy-violation that is categorizing the person as a member of a political party without any explicit statement from the person that they are. As well as categorizing unpaid internships before starting her acting career as her occupations. As well as linking to a non-existent X profile. And you've had seven opportunities so far in the seven edits you've made recently to not re-add or to remove the porn link. The nature of these edits, combined with your edit warring and then looking at your talk page history and links to warnings you've received in the past, your editing behavior shows a pattern of concern. Iamcarbon (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • SUL (for IP: GUC))Reasons: mass removal of labels, often for languages where it is correct ―Mykhal (talk) 06:03, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Mykhal
Wikidata introduced the new "mul" language code today, which can be used to specify a default value for an item. This works nicely for proper names (people, trademarks, organizations, product names, etc), where the name is shared across multiple languages. By specifying the default, we no longer need to manually duplicate it across dozens (and in some cases, hundreds) of languages. Iamcarbon (talk) 06:14, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting, I have missed it. It would be great if it could be mentioned in the summary for the these deletions. —Mykhal (talk) 06:25, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Totally agree. These deletions need summaries. I've paused deleting any additional labels until I can make sure they are included, and make sure the community is in support of consolidating duplicated labels where the native label is used across languages (Astroids, Humans, Trademarks, etc).
Going to continue to watch the mul discussions of the next week and hope to continue to get feedback on the batch of changes I've made today.
I've also noticed, that by simplifying the label sets -- it makes them super easy to review and spot errors / vandalism. I've caught a handful of errors / spam during this process.
It also looks like these simplifications may help the infrastructure team improve the scalability of the query service! Super excited to see this rollout. Iamcarbon (talk) 07:11, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Iamcarbon, Mykhal: the 'mul' code is not fully available yet. Please stop deleting labels until at least the week of August 12. See Help talk:Default values for labels and aliases#Default labels rolled out now? "It's rolled out for limited release (to those folks who put "mul" in their Babel boxes) starting today with a full release starting the week of August 12th. — Huntster (t @ c) 20:37, 29 July 2024 (UTC)" ArthurPSmith (talk) 14:11, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Buenovale (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • SUL (for IP: GUC))Reasons: Harassment crosswiki ―Ruy (talk) 00:24, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ruy banalizes the concept of harassment. This banalization appears to be common among diferent Wikimedia sites. Accusations of harassment should be used more carefully and more rigorously.
I will use the world "harassment" with the maximum rigor: mine is a reaction against true harassment exerted in the Spanish Wikipedia against me and many others by veteran wikipedists and administrators. And mine is no banalization of the word 'harassment'. Buenovale (talk) 00:48, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
