Update, October 5, 2021 (7:55 ET): Facebook services are recovering from outage. Facebook explained that the outage was caused by a single issue.

Just in time for people's lunch breaks on the east coast of the United States, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram are all down. The popular web services started experiencing outages around 11:30 AM EST.

While the top four sites on DownDetector are owned by Facebook, outage reports are quickly appearing for other services. DownDetector shows a severe spike in outage reports for Snapchat, Twitter, Xbox Live, and several other services.

YouTube, Google, and Pokemon Go are also among the sites affected by current outages.

Several mobile carriers are also seeing outages, including T-Mobile, Verizon, and at&t.
