Funniest moments in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga that had us laughing our Hutts off

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is one of the funniest games to ever come to Xbox. It does this by making fun of the stories people know so well, playing into the toy nature of the figures, and taking advantage of puns and plays on words. There are probably hundreds of hilarious gags in total, but we've rounded up the very best ones for you to enjoy.

Spoiler warning: This page is filled with spoilers for the Skywalker Saga's best gags. Don't read any further unless you're willing to have the jokes spoiled for you.

No I am Queen Amidala!

At the end of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's The Phantom Menace episode, Padme reveals herself to actually be the real Queen Amidala. What follows is a number of different characters rising up in a scene reminiscent of Spartacus to claim that they are the real queen. The gag gets more and more hilarious as it changes from several women LEGOs to an old man and then some aliens.

This gag continues into Attack of the Clones. Here, Padme's decoy is destroyed by a bomb. She runs to the decoy's aid only to see that the old man from the previous Sparticus scene was indeed the real Queen Amidala decoy.

Live bands during crucial moments

At various points throughout the Skywalker Saga, players will find that the music for the level is actually being supplied by a live band. For instance, several droids with musical instruments play on a floating platform during the Phantom Menace battle between Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn. Destroying these musicians also gets rid of the music.

Holograms have Star Wars ringtones

Throughout the Star Wars prequels, characters hail each other using holograms. This is made into a hilarious gag in the game with an accompanying Star Wars music ringtone. For instance, Darth Maul's plays the well-known song from the Tatooine cantina band before talking to Darth Sidious.

Anakin's red lightsaber glitch

If you let Anakin sit still long enough in Revenge of the Sith, his lightsaber glitches out and temporarily turns red. He fixes this by smacking it a few times to change the color back to normal. It's a funny nod on his inevitable journey to the dark side.

Order 67

When Palpatine attempts to issue the order that will make all of the clones turn on the Jedi, he accidentally says to activate Order 67 instead of Order 66. Turns out this is a command that makes all of the clones break out into dance.

Palpatine's Force Lightning

Upon being confronted by Mace Windu in Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine whips out toy lightning accessories and waves them menacingly at the Jedi Master. After Windu swipes the toys out of his hand, Palpatine then uses actual lightning to subdue Windu.

Anakin's coloring book

In Revenge of the Jedi, Mace Windu informs Anakin that he is not part of the Jedi council. While all of the other Jedi sit in their majestic thrones, Anakin sulks at a child's desk, and the lid lifts up to reveal a coloring book and crayons. Later, when Obi-Wan comes to investigate Republic City, his first indication that something is off is seeing Anakin's smashed desk and coloring book next to crayon graffiti on the walls that reads, "Dark Side Rulez" and "Sand is for LOSERS." I won't lie, this whole setup made me laugh so hard I had to pause my game until I was calm enough to play again.

Obi-Wan definitely has the high ground

In the battle between Obi-Wan and a turning Anakin, the master Jedi does a backflip away from his apprentice and states the iconic line about having the high ground. Then the camera pulls away, showing him on a ladder. If this alone doesn't make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga one of the best Xbox games of all time then I don't know what will.

C-3PO's oil bath

In the iconic scene from A New Hope where Luke first sees Princess Leia's message while C-3PO takes an oil bath, the protocol droid dons a shower cap and wields a bath brush.

Obi-Wan Kenobi's home

There are a dozen gags all shoved into this one scene, making it one of the best moments in the whole game. It starts with Luke investigating pictures of a younger Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker on the wall and then asking how his father died. Then we cut to Obi-Wan's grimacing face. Luke is then handed Anakin's lightsaber and immediately proceeds to look into the barrel, like many memes often mock. Finally, when Princess Leia's message gets played, Obi-Wan pulls out a bucket of popcorn and enjoys the show.

All of the disguises

When our heroes get pulled into the Death Star while aboard the Millenium Falcon in A New Hope, they attempt to hide from investigating Storm Troopers. Han puts a lampshade on his head, Luke disguises himself as a flower, and Chewbacca pretends he's an animal rug. But the funniest thing of all is that Obi-Wan simply puts his hands over his eyes and the Storm Troopers don't notice him.

Elsewhere, when Lando Calrissian infiltrates Jabba the Hutt's Palace on Tattoine to help rescue Han Solo, he remains undetected using multiple disguises. The first two are him with a planter on his head and then him in a cactus outfit, the joke here being a visual pun that he's a plant within Jabba's operation. But then later we see him disguised as an R2 droid. I almost lost it when I noticed the mustache on the droid helmet.

Storm Trooper bumps its head

One of the most lovingly mocked moments in all of the Star Wars films is when the Storm Trooper hits it head on the rising door in A New Hope. The LEGO adaptation makes fun of this by completely knocking the Storm Trooper to the ground.

Jawa Java

A running gag throughout many of the episodes is a visual one that includes the characters drinking coffee or tea with mugs or cups that feature a Jawa head. The joke here being that there is Jawa Java in the Star Wars universe.

C-3PO's beautiful wig

In the Empire Strikes Back film, Lando Calrissian hits on Princess Leia when Han brings the Millenium Falcon's passengers to Cloud City. However, in the LEGO retelling, a mop lands on C-3P0's head, making it look like he's wearing a wig. Lando starts flirting with the droid instead.

Emptying the freezer for Luke

In preparation for freezing Luke Skywalker in carbonite at Cloud City, Vader has a freezer emptied of all its food. We see the Ugnaughts removing ice cream, pizza boxes, and a burger.

Eww what was thAT-AT?

During the battle at Hoth Base in Return of the Jedi, an AT-AT steps on Luke's ship and crushes it. The LEGO figure then inspects its foot in disgust as if it has stepped on a bug.

Admiral Ackbar's fish food feeding time

During the very important mission briefing before going to Endor, one of the rebels shakes fish food into a water tank inhabited by Admiral Ackbar. In the next scene, Ackbar is wheeled away behind the main heroes and is seen bobbing for fish food pellets.

Endor AT-ST dance

After taking control of a pair of AT-ST Walkers on Endor, an Ewok pops out holding a stereo over his head. Chewbacca then makes his own AT-ST do some hip-hop dance moves while Leia and Han watch.

BB-8's bedtime comforts

When Rey informs BB-8 that it can stay with her for the night, she produces a stuffed animal for him. The next morning, we see BB-8 enjoying breakfast, which includes a baby bottle and the stuffed animal on the chair next to it while the droid reads a local newspaper.

Horrible torture scene

After Rey is taken to the torture room, Kylo Ren shows up and seeks to torture our heroine by using a horn. When it's discovered that she has escaped, Kylo Ren grabs the Storm Trooper that was guarding her and blasts the horn in his face instead.

Storm Trooper activities

There are dozens of funny moments with Storm Troopers from the various episodes. You might open a door to find them unexpectedly hanging out in a jacuzzi, jamming with their headphones to the Imperial March, or floating through space with only their underwear and a helmet. In the last trilogy, a pair is shown in the laundry room lamenting that their armor has been turned pink thanks to having been washed with an Elite Praetorian Guard's red armor.

Kylo Ren shirtless gags

The sequel trilogy takes every possible chance it can to make fun of Kylo's shirtless scene. At one point in The Last Jedi, he comes into a room to talk with Snoke while wearing a T-shirt that says "I love Vader." Snoke says his iconic, "take that ridiculous thing off" line, to which Kylo Ren flexes and bursts his shirt open to reveal his bare chest.

Force healing with a bandaid

In the Rise of Skywalker, during the scene where Rey gives up part of her life to Force Heal Kylo Ren, she then places a bandaid on top of his clothing.

Unforced humor

There are even more hilarious moments within LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but these are the best gags of them all.
