Llama-slaughtering 'Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse' gets Xbox Play Anywhere support
Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse is now an Xbox Play Anywhere game after fans requested the developer add the feature.
A few weeks ago we reported that a bizarre game called Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse (VALA) was coming to Xbox One and PC. Since then many gamers asked us whether the title was an Xbox Play Anywhere experience, but unfortunately it wasn't. This resulted in some disappointment because the popularity of the feature grows every day. Xbox Play Anywhere games allow you to purchase the title once, either on Xbox One or Windows 10, and play it on both platforms at no additional cost. The best part is that progress carries over so you can pick up and play wherever you like.
Today, the developer announced on YouTube that VALA would indeed be an Xbox Play Anywhere game. This is great news because this means that RogueCode took into account community feedback. This is how the development process should be because gamers feel a deeper connection to a project they helped guide in the early stages.
According to the studio, VALA is the "world's best mass llama-slaughter roguelike-lite-ish couch co-op top-down twin-stick shooter." What that means is that the game requires you to navigate various areas, shooting as many llamas as possible. We've seen many twin-stick shooters release on Xbox One in recent years but this one is definitely the craziest. "Roguelike-lite-ish" means that you die a lot, but become stronger after every run despite the fact that you may have to start from the beginning.
If you look at the trailer, you can see that the title features some great visuals. What's most impressive is the number of llamas on screen at any given time. The game was scheduled to launch before the end of 2017 but the developer recently said it was coming on February 26, 2018. Hopefully VALA will be just as polished as it is unique. If you've ever wanted to save the world from endless llamas who go around murdering humans, then this is the game for you.
