It was brought to my attention that many of the performance/compatibility problems with RTW in 2021 are a result of the 1.51 patch from when it was added to steam. This patch ostensibly breaks the game and is responsible for a significant proportion of the issues faced by RTW players. I reverted back to 1.5 with thanks to someone on my discord that has the 1.5 exe and now I can play with smooth mouse AND visible projectiles. This is the first time in years that I've been able to experience RTW in a functional way.
