🌿 A special sighting—a pearl-spotted owlet captured at the end of one of our game drives in the Kruger Area, South Africa! 🌟 This tiny owl was perfectly camouflaged among the tree branches, blending seamlessly into its environment. We were lucky to spot it as the evening light highlighted its bright, curious eyes. Pearl-spotted owlets are known for their adaptability and expert hunting skills, often active during the day despite their nocturnal relatives. Their small size and exceptional camouflage make them easy to overlook, but catching a glimpse is truly unforgettable. This sighting is a reminder of nature's surprises, especially when we take the time to look closely. 🦉✨ 📸 Photo by @madebyirisphoto

‘I volunteered on the Early Childhood Development Project for 4 weeks in Cape Town. Working with the children has been a rewarding experience that has taught me the true meaning of patience, resilience and love. Each day brought new lessons, challenges and unforgettable moments that have left a lasting impact on me. This experience has not only allowed me to give back to the community, but also to grow as person in ways I never expected. The bonds I have formed with the people I have met along the way are something I will treasure forever.’ Marta Italy

🌟 Exciting Surprise on Camera Trap Drive! (Swipe Right ->) 🌟 Last Monday, we kicked off the day with a game drive to check our camera traps. We had an incredible encounter with Poseidon and Thanatos, our two dominant male lions. We watched them for about 10 minutes. As we moved on from the lions, a lodge vehicle tipped us off about a leopard resting nearby. We rushed over and discovered a new addition to our identification kits! Our head guide, Rian, decided to name this stunning leopard Kepler, after the famous astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler. We can't wait to see what other amazing wildlife sightings this week holds! 🦁🐆 Stay tuned for more updates! 📸✨ #GreaterKruger #WildlifeEncounters #SafariMagic

🌊🐬 Are you a Marine Researcher? Are you interested in studying dolphins? Enjoy this update from our Marine Conservation Project in Zanzibar! 🐬🌊 Over the last two weeks, our dolphin monitoring sessions have been nothing short of amazing! We've had consistent sightings of bottlenose dolphins across eight morning sessions. The stunning weather has drawn in more tourists, with boat numbers ranging from 7 to 22 and tourists from 19 to 64. Dolphin pods have been spotted ranging from 4 to 18 in size. Interestingly, dolphins have been staying underwater longer when more boats are around. Last week, their social and playful side really shone through. We even had the incredible opportunity to swim with them several times, witnessing some of the most playful and vocal behaviors in the past four months, including a rare glimpse of mating behavior! 🐬💙 Come join us in witnessing these magnificent creatures in action! 🌊✨ #DolphinWatch #Zanzibar #WildlifeExperience #DolphinsInAction

🌟 This past September's featured photo beautifully captures a serene moment with one of our newly identified leopards—a young female resting gracefully on the rocks. We were fortunate to observe her for almost an hour as she navigated the boulders with ease. 🐆 It was a rare and special sighting that highlighted the beauty and strength of this remarkable new resident of the reserve. Her presence is a poignant reminder of the importance of our ongoing efforts to document and protect these incredible creatures. 🏞️ Join us in celebrating this new addition and the vital work we do to ensure the safety of our wildlife! 💚 #WildlifeConservation #LeopardLove #ProtectOurPlanet Photo by @maddie.wesst
