On this Women's Day, we come together to celebrate the remarkable strength, resilience, and beauty of women across South Africa. From the fields of Limpopo to the bustling streets of Johannesburg, from the Cape to the mountains of KwaZulu-Natal, the heartbeat of this nation is carried by the hands of its women. In Zulu: **"Wathint' abafazi, wathint' imbokodo!"** – You strike a woman, you strike a rock. Today, we remember the courage of the women who stood tall in 1956 and marched for the freedom we enjoy today. In Xhosa: **"Abafazi, zimbokodo, zihlala zikhanyisa ukukhanya kophuhliso lomzantsi Afrika."** – Women are rocks, always illuminating the path of development in South Africa. In Afrikaans: **"Vroue, julle krag en moed is die fondament van ons nasie."** – Women, your strength and courage are the foundation of our nation. In Sesotho: **"Basadi, le matla a tsoelopele ea rona."** – Women, you are the strength of our progress. In Setswana: **"Basadi, lo thito ya tshimologo ya rona."** – Women, you are the pillars of our beginning. In Tshivenda: **"Vhafumakadzi, inwi ndi tshedza tsha mbilu dza tshedza tsha muvhuso."** – Women, you are the light in the hearts and governance of our nation. In isiNdebele: **"Abesifazane, linjengomthombo wempumelelo yelizwe lethu."** – Women, you are the source of success for our country. In Xitsonga: **"Vavasati, mi matsavu ya ntsako wa hina."** – Women, you are the pillars of our joy. In SiSwati: **"Bantfwana bakitsi besifazane, nibona lizinga lekusasa lelihle."** – Our daughters, you are the image of a bright future. In Sepedi: **"Basadi, ke motheo wa khutšo le katlego."** – Women, you are the foundation of peace and success. In English: To the women and young women of South Africa, today we honor you. We see you, we uplift you, and we stand by you. Continue to be fearless in the pursuit of your dreams, knowing that you are the embodiment of freedom, strength, and happiness. Rise to greatness, for the future of our nation lies in your hands. Happy Women's Day, South Africa! **Let us rise, together, to build a brighter tomorrow.**

Hi, The following message has been broadcasted on The Western Cape EPS System. Dear Suppliers, This broadcast message is to inform you about the upcoming 2024 Empowerment and Recognition of Women in Construction (ERWIC) Awards. These awards aim to celebrate and recognise exceptional achievements and contributions of women in the construction industry. One of the categories in the ERWIC Awards specifically focuses on recognising disabled women-owned entities. However, in the past, the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) noticed a lack of participation in this category, with only one entry since 2020. To rectify this, the CIDB is seeking your recommendations for eligible and deserving women-owned contractors living with a disability who should be recognised in this category. Your support in spreading awareness about the ERWIC Awards and encouraging potential candidates to participate would be invaluable. If you know any contractors who fit this criterion, we kindly ask you share their details with the following CIDB officials: Thanduxolo Ndyenge | Provincial Manager: Western Cape | Tel: (021) 488 5861 Mobile: 084 585 4083 Email: ThanduxoloN@cidb.org.za Theresa Mtshali | Marketing Officer | Tel: (012) 482 7389 Mobile: (012) 482 7389 Email: TheresaM@cidb.org.za Your support in promoting inclusivity and diversity within the construction industry is greatly appreciated. Together, we can ensure that deserving individuals receive the recognition they deserve. Here is the link for the ERWIC website, for the contractors who wish to familiarise themselves with the categories and eligibility to enter the awards: https://lnkd.in/dtzG3Ssn Looking forward to your response.
