Did you know that FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic) and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) are essentially the same material? The terms are often used interchangeably across different regions. In South Africa, "FRP" is more commonly used, while in Europe and Asia, "GRP" is the preferred term. Both refer to a strong, lightweight material made of plastic reinforced with fibreglass fibres, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability. We wanted to share some more photos from our recent project in the mining sector, showcasing the finished FRP Vinyl Ester Sump Guard Covers. These images capture the final product, looking as they were on the day they were dispatched to our client. It’s always satisfying to see the end result, especially on a custom project like this one.

We recently completed a bespoke project for the mining sector, supplying customised FRP Vinyl Ester Sump Guard Covers. These covers are engineered to meet the client’s specific needs, capable of withstanding heavy loads and harsh chemical environments in various processing areas of the mine. The first photo was taken during the fabrication process, while the other two were taken on delivery day, showing the covers as they were dispatched to our client.

FRP Cat Ladders are a top choice for vertical access solutions in demanding environments. Made from Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer, these ladders offer excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and lightweight design, making them ideal for industrial use. Pre-pigmented in yellow, they eliminate the need for additional painting and remain corrosion-resistant even if scratched. 

Some new FRP stock has arrived at our Johannesburg office. These high-quality gratings are ready to be prepared and dispatched to our clients. Stay tuned for more updates as we cut, prepare and ship out these high-quality, corrosion-resistant products to support various projects.

Another happy customer with 100 meters of rooftop walkway grating! We supplied 100m x 580mm of ISOFR 38mm green grating for use next to solar panels. The ISOFR grating is resistant to corrosion, light weight, UV stable, and has zero scrap value making it perfect for outdoor rooftop walkway installations.

Our corrosion-resistant and lightweight cat ladders are being used in various different applications around the country and Africa, to provide vertical access as an alternative to steel cat ladders. They come standard pigmented in yellow, with an additional Polyurethane coating to provide excellent longer lasting corrosion resistance and UV stability in the harsh African sun.
