  • Meet Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy, Samantha Graham-Maré, a true warrior in more ways than one. Diagnosed twice with breast cancer, Samantha faced her journey without medical aid, relying on public hospitals for treatment during both battles. At our CANSA Strelitzia Care Home, she found comfort, care, and a sense of community that helped her through the toughest moments. In an inspiring conversation with CANSA’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Lucy Balona, Samantha opens up about her journey—sharing the courage, resilience, and hope that lifted her through it all. Her story is a testament to strength and a reminder that, together, we can overcome anything. • Create Awareness, Protect Health Tobacco smoking is a leading cause of lung cancer, lung disease, and over 14 other types of cancer, along with 17 smoking-related illnesses and non-communicable diseases. Smoking not only affects your health but also endangers the health of those around you. Even when the smoke disappears, toxic residues remain, clinging to surfaces and putting loved ones at risk through third-hand smoke. Second-hand smoke and third-hand smoke have serious health impacts, especially for children and vulnerable individuals. CANSA encourages everyone to stand together in raising awareness about these harms. Let’s protect our communities by educating ourselves and others. Together, we can create healthier, smoke-free spaces! https://lnkd.in/gfBDK_pa #NoTobacco #LowerCancerRisk
