The authority in the Employee Assistance Profession in Africa
About us
The Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) is the largest, oldest professional association for persons in the Employee Assistance field of work. EAPA represents more than 7 000 individuals and Organisations involved in Employee Assistance in 107 Chapters around the globe. EAPA-SA affiliated as a Branch of EAPA International in 1997 to provide leadership, strategic direction, professional development and oversight of Employee Assistance practice in South Africa through administration of standards and ethics for practice. EAPA-SA, currently in its 19th year, is the only officially recognised voice for the E A profession. It is continually growing and expanding in terms of its scope and influence both in the public and private sector. In recent years EAPA-SA’s presence has expanded into other parts of Africa to support the establishment of like structures. There are currently eight active Chapters across the various provinces of South Africa. EAPA-SA is still one of a few branches of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) that has achieved twice for Branch of the Year and numerous individual international awards. EAPs role as a strategic risk management partner in the dynamic and rapidly evolving world of work makes increasingly complex demands on professionals working in the field to possess advanced skills, demonstrate expertise and to play a strategic role in strengthening work organisations.
