A few months ago i started on this incredible journey called The Insurance Apprentice (TIA). There was no grand goal, the aim was to enter, indulge in a new experience within the Industry outside of the scope of my day to day Career in Insurance and see what was achievable. I had always heard of the show, knew some previous contestants, but had no intention of entering, nor saw it as an experience that would fit my personality. After some great encouragement from colleagues within Emerald Risk Transfer and seeing the amount of confidence they had in my ability to do well in this competition, i said let’s take the leap and see what might come of it. It was nothing like i expected!! The show was exciting, testing, each task grueling and at times make you wonder “Why did i sign up for this voluntary torture and scrutiny?”, and whether you could have your application back😄, but, and this remains true even at this very moment, it was nothing less of incredible and i would not change a single aspect of the experience. The show has a community of people who love it, a community of people who genuinely enjoy seeing young talent within the industry do well, a community of people including sponsors, invested in the growth, skills, and expertise of the next generation of Insurance Practitioners and that for me was perhaps one of the best of experiences, getting to meet, see and talk to these people around the country. And of course the fierce competition and fellow contestants Tristan Marot Jason Mizen Kebafentse Kgahliso Mogoshi Shivani Keshav Anifa Mkhize Rheinhardt Schnetler Celeste Ryan Nicolene Claassen and this year’s Winner Temwa Nyirenda (LIISA), you guys brought a dynamic to the 10th season that will forever be remembered, both as teammates and opposition were exciting to watch. Seeing the individual talents shine through and watching you guys make best of the toughest of situations was beautiful to witness. Bowing out at 3rd place🥉and part of the Top 3 of 2024 Insurance Apprentice is a result i am extremely proud of 🎉 🍾 and will certainly hold near and dear to me!!! Thank you to the judges Simon Colman (AIISA) and Nox Dlamini for being phenomenal in this entire journey. Your role in the #TIA2024 is immeasurable. And last but not least to Rianet Whitehead, you have something special here and i hope it just gets bigger and better!!!🎉
