World improvement through entrepreneurship. On a mission to assist millions of people on Health and Education.

I have effectively captured the key points about the growing demand for organic cosmetics in South Africa, driven by consumer awareness of health and environmental issues. The main points are: - Increasing demand for natural and sustainable beauty products. - Consumers seeking organic and natural alternatives. - Brands incorporating indigenous plant extracts and oils. - Focus on sustainable practices like ethical sourcing and eco-friendly packaging. - Opportunities for smaller, local brands to enter the market. - Challenges include ensuring product quality, addressing higher costs, and obtaining certifications. - Informal market sells organic products at a lower price, sidestepping certifications. This summary highlights the shift towards organic cosmetics in South Africa, driven by consumer consciousness and the potential for local brands to capitalize on this trend while addressing the challenges that come with it. FutecSA Holdings is already paving the way to capitalize on the trend. https://lnkd.in/drmXH68f

Social enterprises, which aim to address social or environmental issues while generating revenue, are becoming increasingly important in today's business landscape. The implication is that traditional business models may not be sustainable in the long term, and that companies will need to adapt and integrate social impact into their strategies in order to remain relevant and successful. This perspective is supported by growing trends such as: - Increased consumer demand for purpose-driven brands. - Rising importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations. - Growing need for sustainable and socially responsible practices. It will be interesting to see how businesses evolve and adapt to these changing expectations and landscape. And we as FutecSA Holdings, we build on the perspective of social enterprise. Keep following us for new updates. #socialenterprise #economicdevelopment #Africa

The importance of inclusivity in economic growth and development. When a significant portion of the population is excluded from participating in the economy, it hinders the overall growth and prosperity of the nation. Inclusive economic growth, on the other hand, creates opportunities for all citizens to contribute and benefit, leading to: 1. Increased economic activity. 2. Improved standards of living. 3. Reduced income inequality. 4. Enhanced social cohesion. 5. Greater political stability. An economy that excludes parts of its population cannot integrate its citizens in a meaningful way, leading to social, economic, and political challenges. Inclusive growth is essential for building a prosperous and harmonious society. The younger generation is poised to drive Black enterprise creation, and their ability to build networks from scratch will be a significant factor in their success. By leveraging their skills, creativity, and determination, they can: 1. Create innovative businesses that address emerging needs. 2. Disrupt industries with fresh perspectives. 3. Build networks that span industries and geographies. 4. Access resources and mentorship through digital platforms. 5. Inspire and support each other through community-building initiatives. This generation has the potential to rewrite the rules of success and create a more inclusive and equitable economic landscape. With the advent of technology, social media, and digital connectivity, the barriers to entry are lower than ever before. It is indeed an exciting time, and the future of Black enterprise creation looks bright! Keep following FutecSA Holdings and DelivaFast to get more insights going forward. #economicdevelopment #younggeneration #Africa

The township economy is a significant sector in South Africa, providing employment opportunities, driving local economic development, and fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. With an estimated 17% of the country's total employment and 2.5 million workers, it plays a vital role in addressing unemployment, stimulating economic growth, and empowering communities. The importance of the township economy extends beyond its economic contributions, as it also promotes a culture of self-reliance and resilience within the community. By supporting local businesses and entrepreneurial activities, it helps alleviate poverty and contributes to the overall economic development of the country. FutecSA Holdings' commitment to contributing to the township and rural economy is commendable, and we wish for the success. We will keep sharing our insights and progress. Remember, the township economy has the potential to: - Generate employment and reduce unemployment rates. - Stimulate economic activity and attract resources to marginalized areas. - Foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and a culture of self-reliance. - Empower communities and reduce inequality. - Contribute to the overall well-being and development of historically disadvantaged areas. By supporting and growing the township economy, we can create a more inclusive and prosperous future for all South Africans. #townshipeconomy #economicdevelopment #informalsector

How big is the township economy? An estimated 17% of South Africa's total employment is through the informal economy or so called ‘township economy.’ In a country with a high unemployment rate, the informal sector is a lifeline to countless families who lack formal employment. The township economy plays a critical role through: 1. Employment opportunities: The township economy has the potential to generate employment and reduce unemployment rates. By supporting local businesses and entrepreneurial activities, it creates job opportunities for residents who may face barriers to employment in mainstream sectors. This helps alleviate poverty and contributes to the overall economic development of the country. 2. Local economic development: A vibrant township economy contributes to the overall economic development of a region or country. It stimulates economic activity, promotes investment, and attracts resources to previously marginalized areas.  3. Entrepreneurship and innovation: Townships are often hubs of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial talent. By supporting and nurturing local entrepreneurs, the township economy encourages innovation and the development of new businesses. This fosters a culture of self-reliance and resilience within the community and creates role models who inspire others to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. In summary, the township economy is important because it has the potential to address unemployment, stimulate economic growth, foster entrepreneurship, empower communities, reduce inequality, and contribute to the overall well-being and development of historically disadvantaged areas. While informal businesses typically do not contribute directly to the fiscus through taxes, they provide livelihoods, employment and income for approximately 2.5 million workers (excluding agriculture), according to Stats SA. We are building a company that is going to contribute a lot to the township and rural economy. Please follow FutecSA Holdings for more insights going forward.

This is what a lot of folks are actually talking about, usually a layer or two beneath the surface: we all have “potential” to do some everyday tasks at least a little more effectively. We could all probably improve our math skills, for example. Or piano. If we really clenched hard and went for it, we could probably work out more, climb a little higher in the social hierarchy, learn to juggle, etc. In this sense, “human potential” is referring to something very real and practical, but is not really all that inspiring or extraordinary. At the end of the day, it is mundane.

Women are essential to a country’s development and functioning, yet they still face a great deal of discrimination and violence because of their gender. What of the situation on the African continent? Women are those who suffer the most from gender inequality and marginalization on the continent. What are the solutions to gender inequality and discrimination against women and girls? What actions are possible? Africa has made significant progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, yet inequalities reached a critical level in West Africa. It is, therefore, interesting to take stock of discrimination on the African continent (I), and then look at the different actions that can be taken to remedy gender inequalities (II). What need to be done is to integrate SDG 5 into all development programs, recognizing that it is not a standalone goal. Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment program addresses challenges faced by women and girls across Africa, and supports member states in their efforts to achieve gender equality and women's empowerment targets outlined in global and regional instruments. By taking a holistic approach, in FutecSA Holdings we strive to promote gender equality in all aspects of development. #genderequality #womenempowerment #industrialisation #economicdevelopment #africandevelopment

The world is changing at an unprecedented rate in terms of innovative technologies, shifting customer expectations, as well as increasing social awareness of gender equality and restoration of previously marginalized communities. These major shifts have a considerable impact on the future of Africa’s manufacturing sectors. Technological advancements have given rise to the revolutionary Industry 4.0. This phenomenon represents the complete digitisation of factories and manufacturing facilities that will ultimately merge with the unique needs of individual customers, resulting in benefits such as customized product design and manufacturing processes as well as speed to market to maximize customer satisfaction. Moreover, Industry 4.0 brings with it a host of additional benefits for manufacturers such as cost, productivity, profitability and operations that manufacturers are striving to control, streamline, optimize and enhance. Similarly, these opportunities extend to small and medium businesses, allowing them to establish new business models and integrate into global value chains. Accordingly, Industry 4.0 remains a considerable opportunity for African manufacturers, ultimately giving the continent a leading edge over the global economy. In the face of increasing digitalisation, barriers to entry with reference to the manufacturing sector are dwindling, translating into a positive outlook for new African market entrants who are more flexible than their larger, more cumbersome counterparts, thereby providing products and services that were once the exclusive domain of major incumbents. #industrialautomation #africanbusiness #innovation #technologysolutions

Across the African continent, the relentless spread of networks, sensors, artificial intelligence, and automation is driving a revolution to an unknown destination. Emerging technology is having a powerful impact on the security and stability of African states. Yet the digital revolution’s ultimate legacy will be determined not by technology, but by how it is used. African countries that take advantage of the opportunities and limit the risks inherent in emerging technology may achieve greater peace and prosperity. The rise of fintech and mobile money in Africa is spurred on by providing financial freedom to the unbanked. So what can we expect from Africa’s fintech market in the future? Financial freedom and digital innovation are certainly key aspects that will improve the lives and economies of Africans and their nations, but fintech will continue to evolve into an industry that we cannot fathom today. Check innovation around Fio Group through FioX which is coming soon to see the effect of financial freedom. #financialfreedom #economicdevelopment #innovationinfinance #digitisation

The future of global fintech and more broadly, technology, in #Africa is bright. The unique demographic and uptake potential of the continent are well-documented, with over 90% mobile penetration and 88% internet penetration. The fintech market in Africa is projected to reach $65 Billion by 2030, highlighting the significant growth potential within the sector. There are challenges however, with the perception of volatility and uncertainty often overshadowing the abundant opportunities in African fintech. Join us in London on 21 March with Nathan Searle, Partner at Hogan Lovells moderating a discussion with Theresa Henshaw, Chief Executive Officer at UBA UK and Nkosi Moyo, Head, Global Payments and Mobile Sales at Crown Agents Bank, where they will explore strategies to address challenges regarding cross-border payments, repatriation challenges, reliability, access and scale.
