With over 2,000 in-person delegates, 600 online attendees, and two weeks of out-of-this-world conferencing, including a once-in-a-lifetime live audio call to the International Space Station, IAU GA2024 was a resounding success. This event was a collaboration between Gearhouse South Africa CPT, Sets Drapes Screens and Inhouse Venue Technical Management . IVTM was honoured to be appointed as the AV provider for The International Astronomical Union (IAU) General Assembly 2024, held at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in August. Gearhouse South Africa CPT was responsible for audio, audio visual, lighting, staging, and the hybrid conference using Zoom webinars and Zoom meetings. Sets Drapes Screens set the stage, supplying a borderless screen with a back wall and two side walls. The Durban Business Fair Excellence Awards 2024, were hosted by the eThekwini Municipality, at the Durban Exhibition Centre, on Friday, 27 September. The load-in for this event spanned over two days, with Gearhouse South Africa Durban providing the complete technical package for both the awards ceremony and the after-party. Our technical scope for the event ranged from PA for 500 pax with backline, DJ kit, lighting and the stage design with strip lighting on the steps. LEDVision - South Africa supplied the LED screen. By aligning every element with our client's aesthetic vision, we where able to once again deliver a cohesively seamless and flawless result.
