Going on! The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) is dedicated to enhancing our staff's knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment focused on the latest advancements in treatment options and access. Our workshop aims to deepen understanding of critical topics such as Treatment Literacy, the "Undetectable Equals Untransmissible" (U=U) advocacy, and the integration of HIV into broader health systems - empowering communities to lead all these efforts. Key objectives include: • Boosting understanding of treatment literacy and #UequalsU • Integrating HIV services into other health initiatives • Strengthening coordination and communication for effective advocacy We’re thrilled to have expert facilitators Bruce Richman from the Prevention Access Campaign and Joan Museny’a from NEPHAK guiding our team through the history of treatment and #UequalsU. Over the next two days, we’ll leverage their invaluable insights and experience to shape our advocacy priorities in alignment with the GNP+ strategy. Let’s continue to work together to create a healthier future for all! #CommunitiesFirst #UequalsU #Endstigma

Improving the quality of life of people living with HIV, in all our diversity.
About us
GNP+ originates in the International Steering Committee of the International Conferences of People Living with HIV, founded in 1986. The Steering Committee organised conferences so people living with HIV could exchange information, develop joined activism and be involved in solving the HIV epidemic. When we started to develop our own programmes in 1992, we became GNP+. The mission of the Global Network of People living with HIV (GNP+) is to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV. Based on the expressed concerns and needs of communities of people living with HIV, GNP+ focuses on themes of crucial importance to people living with HIV, including: preventing prenatal transmission of HIV; promoting access to treatment, care and support; promoting the rights of people living with HIV, including their sexual and reproductive health and rights; addressing stigma and rights violations, including at the work place; and promoting the Greater Involvement of People Living with HIV (GIPA principle) and the leadership of young people living with HIV. In promoting the involvement of people living with HIV (PLHIV), GNP+ also promotes the engagement of young people, women and girls and other key populations living with HIV, including men who have sex with men, LGBT people, people who use drugs, and sex workers.

We are excited to share that our co-ed Florence Riako Anam is a member of the Board of Advisers for The Lancet Global Health Commission on People-Centered Care for Universal Health Coverage, convened by the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care. This is a cause we deeply believe in ensuring that healthcare is designed with and around the people it serves. Joining this group of colleagues from around the world—people with diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to transforming health systems—feels both humbling and energizing. The road to achieving universal health coverage is long, but focusing on people-centered care is the path that will bring us closer. Florence Riako Anam is looking forward to contributing her experiences and learning from others as we push forward to make healthcare more equitable, accessible, and truly centered on the people we care for. The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+), would like to thank all partners who joined the #mentalhealth webinar today. The purpose of the webinar was to highlight the impact internal stigma has on mental health and how it affects PLHIV evidenced by data from the PLHIV Stigma Index. It is important to turn data into action, acknowledging that incorporating mental health goes beyond implementing policy but should be part of the organizational culture in the workplace. Today we were #reminded to be #kind to ourselves and kinder to those around us as they may be going through so much. Together we can create a supportive environment for all.
