About us
Guud Drivers is on a mission to improve road safety in South Africa by leveraging technology and mobility-based health and compliance solutions. The 'Fit-to-drive' Program is in it's first phase, which involves collecting primary health data from commercial drivers across the country using Mobile Assessment Centres (MACs). Alongside phase one, we are developing a proprietary technology that will enable the integration of the primary data with secondary data from partner networks. This will provide a holistic view of driver health and wellness. With these data-driven insights, Guud Drivers clients can draw actionable conclusions to ensure better outcomes for their commercial fleets. Guud Drivers aim to: 1. Help reduce road accidents. 2. Reduce insurance claims. 3. Reduce insurance premiums. By addressing these issues, Guud Drivers aims to create a safer and more efficient transportation sector in South Africa.

It's a good Tuesday in Uitenhage, Western Cape, when we receive such positive feedback from commercial drivers themselves! We're proud to partner with the Road Accident Fund in offering free medical & optometry assessments on the move, to drivers who require their National Medical Certificates for #PrDP applications or renewals. #Mobility #DriversWellness #GuudDrivers

Such a great turnout of taxi drivers this morning at the Korsten Taxi Rank in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape! These drivers are being seen by the Road Accident Fund Drivers Wellness bus, which supports commercial drivers with comprehensive health and optometry assessments on board. As part of each health assessment, commercial drivers could also receive their National Medical Certificate on the spot, a requirement for any PrDP license application or renewal. #Mobility #DriversWellness #Optometry #GuudDrivers #ServicesToThePeople

New Transport Minister Barbara Creecy D saying it like it is. "Every year our country sees in excess of 10 000 fatal crashes, which the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) estimates amount to almost 3% of our annual Gross Domestic Product. This is totally unacceptable from both an economic and a humanitarian perspective." If our Fit-To-Drive program, which focuses on the optometry, health and compliance needs of commercial drivers in South Africa, can reduce this number of fatal crashes then we're on the right track. #GuudDrivers #DriversWellness #FitToDrive

Concerning to think of the impact on road safety after reading this article, published in Mail & Guardian earlier this month. Every driver has a responsibility to ensure their vision meets the legal requirements to drive and thus ensuring safer journeys for all road users. For commercial drivers, access to optometry services while on the road is both challenging and expensive. Each of our Mobile Assessment Centers (MACs) supports commercial drivers by offering on-board, advanced optometry assessments and spectacles on the spot, should the driver need them not only for #PrDP license compliance, but empowering themselves to be safer drivers too. A step in the right direction to improving road safety for all 👀 #DriversWellness #GuudDrivers #CommercialDriver #SaferRoads

The eye opening data coming through from the Road Accident Fund Drivers Wellness program, conducted via Mobile Assessment Centres around South Africa. A valid PrDP is a legal requirement for all commercial drivers, yet the access to on-the-road healthcare facilities to obtain this medical documentation required for any PrDP application or renewal, is limited...as is their time and money. A good start is being able to offer solutions which are accessible, affordable and empowers the driver to keep moving. Appreciative of partners like the Road Accident Fund who support the vision of healthier drivers and safer roads in South Africa 🙌 #Guud #SaferRoads #ICare²

A heartfelt thank you to the Discovery Safe Journeys to School programme, in partnership with Afrika Tikkun, for your unwavering commitment to championing the health of drivers who diligently ensure the safe daily transportation of scholars - our future leaders. Throughout our journey, drivers' optometry has been assessed along with their overall health. Those who have been tested have received an Optometry Certificate and National Medical Certificate, crucial documents for obtaining their PrDP License. Here are some #Guud moments spent with Scholar Drivers in Mitchells Plain and the surrounding areas. We're already looking forward to the next stop! #TheDiscoverySafeJourneytoSchoolProgramme #HealthyDriversSaferRoads
