We’ve contributed to tackling fraudulent schemes surrounding the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in France by sharing threat intelligence data with @Interpol as part of Project Stadia. This initiative ensures the cyber safety of major global events, including sporting tournaments and social gatherings. We helped uncover numerous scam websites offering fake tickets for the Paris Summer Games, along with bogus stores selling merchandise like shirts and accessories. Our experts even found fake auctions claiming to sell Olympic medals. We are honored to contribute to joint efforts in neutralizing global cybercrime. Find out more: https://kas.pr/x6x2

⏩ U can't patch this A new report, titled the 2024 State of Threat and Exposure Management, offers an intriguing perspective on which vulnerabilities to address first and which assets to prioritize. The first part of the report, prepared by an independent research institute, is the most informative. It compares the number of vulnerabilities in products from popular IT vendors, the number of actual IT assets in corporate infrastructures where these products are deployed, and the percentage of assets where vulnerabilities have (not) been addressed. https://lnkd.in/dXdEwB6r The diagram clearly shows a trend—assets running various types of Linux, Oracle, and NetApp servers receive significantly fewer updates than Microsoft or Adobe systems. On average, at the time of analysis, 49% of vulnerabilities in the studied infrastructures were addressed. The average time to remediate a vulnerability in the infrastructure is 212 days, but this figure hides significant variation across different asset types. Up to 80% of bugs on workstations are fixed within three months, while only 21% of defects on servers are resolved. Domain controllers, however, are patched faster—on average in 87 days. You can see the patching times for specific products in the illustration. The report's authors advocate for their approach to vulnerability prioritization but conclude that addressing the most dangerous vulnerabilities (top 20% ranked by risk of real exploitation) within a relatively short period (up to 90 days) is quite feasible. #statistics #vulnerabilities
