About us

Kopano Youth Club (KYC) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation, founded in 2003 by the youth from the rural village of Morokweng in the North-West Province Our main objective is to address social challenges in our communities through regular engagement with High School learners and the youth in general. Since inception; Kopano Youth Club has reached out to the youth through activities such as: (i) Annual Career Guidance & Motivational Talks (ii) Provide financial assistance (no-interest loans & Bursaries) to Grade 12 learners with outstanding final results, with no funds to study at universities (iii) Entrepreneurship (iv) Mentorship Our Milestone 1. We have existed since 2003 when our founding members were still in High school 2. Majority of our members have either obtained their first degrees or currently studying at various universities across the country 3. We have adopted 6 (Six) High Schools in Morokweng and surrounding villages, we conduct career guidance and motivational talks to Grade 11 and Grade 12 every year 4. Despite challenges faced by our respective communities, over the past years our adopted schools have consistently featured in the Top5 of Grade 12 final results within Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipality 5. Kopano Youth Club won the 2015 Mandela Day Competition sponsored by Nedbank, the competition featured other NPOs Our projects are funded from annual member contributions and corporate donations
