Agency and MTN delegates from across Africa gathered at the MTN HQ last week for the two-day 'Empower the Shift' workshop. It was an inspiring event with dynamic discussions and exciting new introductions to drive meaningful change for brand MTN.
We had the opportunity to get to know our Group IT Head, Warren Lawrence a little bit better. When he is not leading our IT department, he is either mountain biking, working on his YouTube channel with his wife, or spending time with his daughter. Introducing Track your Racks by Standard Bank Group, the first-ever playlist that helps your track your finances. We collaborated with Spotify to create the first-ever playlist that helps young people track their money aka racks, via music tracks. So, when they hear songs like “She ain’t got no money in the bank” by Swizz Beats, they’ll know that their finances are shaky and when they hear songs like “Ballin’” by Roddy Rich, their finances are looking good. Individual weekly playlists update automatically and users get retargeted with ads that give them financial advice or products based on their predicted financial status at that moment. Thanks to Track Your Racks, the youth of South Africa will be able to stay on top of their finances and be better equipped to start saving. And that is music to our ears!
